European Elections 2014: ENAR 7 demands towards more equality in Europe
Enar have put forward 7 key demands for more equality in Europe to upcoming Members of the European Parliament. They have also launched a campaign toolkit for anti-racist civil society to act at the local and national levels and get candidates to take a stand for equality. Read more
The next European Parliament to be elected in May 2014 has a crucial role to play when it comes to reducing the entrenched inequalities faced by its citizens and residents. Among these are ethnic minorities and migrants who often face discrimination on multiple grounds: ethnic origin, nationality, social status, income, gender or age.
Encouraging people to vote for diversity and equality and against discrimination and xenophobic discourses can also make a difference. Only by actually voting can our concerns be heard and our rights protected.
